Is using Montluçon's public transport service rocket science? Not at all! The city's bus network runs from Monday to Saturday, and Sundays too depending on the bus route, from 6am to 7pm. Bus routes 5 and C1 will both get you to I.U.T d'Allier and the centre of the town. So don't be afraid to get the bus.

Tickets and prices

Bus drivers sell tickets on-board for €1.15. Valid for one hour, they are re-usable on the same route.

A cheaper option is to get a bus travel card: a monthly ticket costs around €13 and allows you to use all bus routes throughout Montluçon.

These are available from Espace Maelis (Montluçon's tickets and travel cards shop). You'll need to complete a form and provide:

  • 1 passport photo
  • Proof of address
  • Attendance certificate

Espace Maelis (Saint Pierre bus stop) opens:

Monday to Saturday
From 9am to 12pm and from 1.30pm to 5pm
In any case, you can contact them on +33 (0) 4 70 05 02 67
